Advertising
I never did much in the way of advertising. Something for the BBC, the above 64 sheet post for Typhoo tea (J Walter Thompson), some promotional videos for my friend Felix Dennis and several 30 second ‘stings’ for MTV. My favourite work was ‘Buy or Die’ for the Florentine fashion house n9ve. The bull, in the above banner, is me.
BUY OR DIE This video was for the Florentine fashion house n9ve. Pretty odd stuff, but they liked it and showed it at several fashion expos.
MTV Station ident I did like working for MTV. They let me do whatever I liked and I got paid for it. This was made in collaboration with the enthusiastic Andy Martin
PERFECT DAY For my friend Felix Dennis to promote his book of poetry. Set in Mustique at his place Mandalay. Very swish setting. I was lucky.
MTV Eco-Sting A series of ‘Eco-Stings’ were commissioned by the station. This one related to sinking oil tankers which did a lot of damage to the oceans. The product, so I imagined, was 'Sinking Ship’ brand of sardines in oil.
NEVER GO BACK Another poem by Felix Dennis. This incorporates graphics from his publication OZ magazine.
MUHAMMAD ALI SHUFFLE This is for John England’s campaign against Parkinson’s Disease. I got many of my locals to ‘Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee’.
